West Family Reunion 2012!!!

YEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWW!

On Saturday the 21st the West family will be meeting up in Oregon for a family reunion. I have not seen most of this side of the family since I was a kid. It’s going to be so awesome to see everyone all grown up. We’ll be going up there the Thursday before and leaving on Monday to make sure we have lots of good visiting time 🙂

I can’t even remember were we went during our last get-together but it was somewhere near the coast. I recall a park and maybe a creek or something…maybe not a creek but there was definitely a park. And everything was so green, much more so than what I was used to seeing in Grand Junction.

Okay, the pics are a little dramatized but you get the point. Wet and green versus brown and dry. One of the things I distinctly remember was seeing a slug for the first time.

One of my cousins (probably Heath) showed us what happens when you put salt on slugs. And I hate to admit it but we spent hours doing it.

I’m going to hell aren’t I?

The other thing I recall is us older cousins leaving my youngest sister Bree with some bikers so we could go off and not have to play by ourselves. No, they were not related to us in any way. Just some bikers hanging in the same park having their own BBQ.  Luckily, they were very nice people and brought Bree back to where our family was hanging out.

Okay, ol’ red legs has a seat all picked out for me, I know.

What was your most memorable family reunion moment, good or bad? Are any of you planning one soon? I’d love to hear from you!
