Allons-y! Day of the Doctor…in 3D!!! SPOILERS!

I was one of the fortunate ones who got to see Day of the Doctor on the big screen. And not just on the big screen. In 3D!

It’s okay to be jealous. πŸ˜‰

All four showings sold out which was surprising to me. I honestly didn’t know there was that many Whovians living in Grand Junction. But I’m totally glad there was πŸ˜€ A small group of us waited in line together and regaled ourselves with tales of the Doctor: our favorite episodes, favorite companions, favorite doctors, favorite plot lines, favorite quotes. I was the only one of the group that cheated and watched Day of the Doctor on Saturday when it aired on BBC. I commandeered my parent’s TV as I only have Netflix. I literally couldn’t wait until Β Monday to see it. Seeing twice was just a bonus for me πŸ˜€

As we waited in the theater, we noticed it was past 7:30. The Whovians started fidgeting and wondering what the heck was going on. An employee came in and told us they were having issues with the movie but that they think they had it all sorted out. When she left I shouted, “We need a Doctor!” About 20 sonic screwdrivers appeared, all whirring in their magnificence. It was awesome πŸ˜€

Okay, so if you haven’t seen it yet, now’s the time to click out of this blog. Hopefully you did see it though and we can have an awesome conversation about it πŸ˜€

Okay..one thing I’m confused about: I saw the Night of the Doctor short film with Paul McGann (8th Doctor) and his regenerating into John Hurt, the War Doctor. So does that mean that John Hurt regenerates into the 9th (Eccleston)? Does that mean John Hurt is Doctor 8.5? Now keep in mind, I haven’t seen any of season 7 of Doctor Who since Netflix doesn’t have them up yet. Is there something in there that explains it? I am tempted to watch them online but I really dislike watching stuff like that on my computer. That’s why I have the nice TV with the surround sound πŸ˜‰

I am on the fence about Rose’s appearance as the consciousness of the weapon. I can see why they didn’t bring her back in the flesh but does her absorbing the time vortex explain why she’s a weapon? Or why it picked Rose’s likeness rather than Any or Donna? *shrug* Just one of those things I was wondering about before I finally drifted off to sleep last night πŸ˜€

It was so awesome to see all the Doctors saving their planet from burning πŸ˜€ The movie didn’t really explain how all but the 3 knew where to go. Still lost on that bit. But it doesn’t matter. It was still spectacular πŸ˜€

What about you? What did you think of the 50th??? And if you have the answers to my questions, I’d appreciate a comment or two πŸ˜€

Yep, Hurt regenerates into Eccleston. They just couldn’t quite show that because Eccleston declined to be in the show.

I wished they would have shown him even if they did computer generated stuff like they did at the end. So if Capaldi the 13th or the 12th?? Or both?? LOL

Hurt’s ‘War Doctor’ is between 8th and 9th, so Capladi could be either 12th or 13th, depends on how you see it I suppose. I’m going with 12 btw because Tenant will always be 10 in my mind.

      I agree πŸ˜€ I can’t think of Tennant as anything other than 10 πŸ˜€
