Star Trek TNG Finale

I am so in denial. Like, serious denial.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been twenty years since the finale of Star Trek: The Next Generation aired. I remember watching that episode and crying when it was over. It was probably the most brilliant ending of a beloved series that I’ve ever seen. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be for the writers to come up with something that will tie things up and yet leave things open at the same time. There were movies to be made and books to be written so they couldn’t just end it. I think most fans were satisfied with the two-hour finale as it brought back Q and who doesn’t LOVE the omnipotent bad guy that torments the Enterprise and her crew! The switching back and forth through time was brilliant and gave us a glimpse into the future of our favorite galaxy-hoppers.

*raises glass of Romulan Ale* Happy anniversary, Star Trek finale!

What was your favorite episode of the series? I’d have to say Darmok if I had to pick just one. It’s hard because there were so many good ones!

And just to share how even nerdy I am, here’s pictures of my Star Trek tattoos 😀

They’re a little faded…should probably get them re-done one of these days LOL

Darmok is brilliantly written. Poignant ending too. I’m also a big fan of Yesterday’s Enterprise, The Most Toys, Best of Both Worlds (best cliffhanger ever! lol) and Tapestry. No real surprises there. lol. *Raises glass of Aldebaran whiskey*

I should have known you were a Trekkie! I only liked it for the science part. Always more of a Star Wars fan. Doctor Spock was cool in the beginning days. You’re making me feel old now.
