My First Successful Moon Pictures

Woohoo!! I can’t believe I did it! 😀 With the help of a wonderful Facebook friend (check out some of his amazing photos here), I managed to get some really nice shots of the near full moon last  night.

Camera: Canon Rebel T3. To make sure the moon was in focus, I used the little button on the back that looks like a checkerboard. I am not a photographer and don’t know what that’s called but it’s a GREAT way to get the moon all the way in the live view screen so the focus was sharp and clear. To get rid of camera shake, I used the 10 second timer setting.
Settings: F8; 1/30; ISO 100
