Our Favorite TV Characters

I often wonder if script writers and TV execs ever try to predict who their viewers’ favorite character will be. Is there even any way to do that? Is there some super fancy schmancy mathematical algorithm out there they use?

Or is it just as much a surprise to them as the actor on TV?

I’ve been watching re-watching re-re-watching The Walking Dead and got to thinking of the ever-popular Daryl Dixon.

Daryl Dixon

*rawwwrrrr*

Maybe it’s the combination bad-boy/soft-hearted warrior or the crossbow but there’s no doubt that this actor/character is a viewer favorite.

I’ve never read the comics so I don’t know if his character is supposed to make it through to the end or not so maybe those of you versed in all things Walking Dead can clue me in. How closely are the writers following the books?

Now here’s the real kicker: will the writers keep their viewers’ favorite scruffy guy or will they eventually kill him off? Would they lose viewers if Daryl Dixon met an untimely end? Were they expecting someone else to be the favorite and got blind-sided with¬†the hotness that is Norman Reedus?

Who is your favorite character in a TV series and would you quite watching if he/she was ever killed off? I’d love to hear from you!!

And as an extra added bonus, every comment will be put in a random drawing for a free e-book copy of my newest book, Organ Reapers! Doesn’t have anything to do with zombies but there are dead bodies and missing organs and such. So sort of the same.

I stopped watching Downton Abbey for a while when they killed Matthew.

I haven’t seen that one. Since I don’t have cable or satellite, I have to watch stuff that’s on Netflix live stream
