Inspiration in the Things We See Everyday

The university where I teach recently finished a new classroom building and I had the good fortune to have my J-term Wound Healing class (two week class that occurs just prior to the start of the semester) in the new building. Though I’m not an architect by any means, nor do I understand the intricacies behind buildings, this one seems particularly lovely. Very open when you first walk in, with lots of sunshine and a huge staircase leading up to the third level.

But the coolest part is the quotes painted on the walls. Most actually have to do with writing. The first day I walked in Escalante Hall, I damn near fell down the stairs because I was too concerned with reading the writing on the walls (HA!) rather than watching the stairs.
