Pictures of the Milky Way

Thought I’d share some of my shots I took of the Milky Way this weekend at the family cabin. It was my first time doing star shots and I think they came out quite nicely! πŸ˜€ If you look carefully, you can even see Sagittarius and Scorpio in the first two πŸ˜€

All were taken using a Canon Rebel, 18 mm, f 3.5, ISO 6400, 15 second exposure

These pictures are amazing. A few years ago my wife and I thought we were going to move to Colorado, and I was all ready to buy the gear to do this kind of thing (the job didn’t work out, so no such luck). Very, very nice!

Omg Shay, I think I see the roof of what looks to be your porch or deck. Am I right? Is that your freaking view from your home? Sorry, didn’t mean to be nosy but if I’m right….WOW!!!! And now to the pics. Those are unbelievable. I can’t wait to share these with our friends on Facebook. Funny enough Ging and I have been in hiding (shut-ins) as we often do when finishing up our books. So we’ve been out of touch with the news and such. So when we were told there was a blood moon we were like…really? Then we seen some pics on Facebook and read the information regarding blood moons. I think it was something like every 27 or 28 years it comes around. Then we felt really, really, really ok you get the idea. STUPID for missing something this miraculous. But the pictures were exquisite. Like yours. So thanks to you for sharing these miracles with those of us out of the loop right now. Headed to Facebook to share with our other friends!! πŸ˜‰ xo
